Pirates centerfielder Andrew McCutchen was named the National League player of the week for the second consecutive week, Major League Baseball announced this afternoon. In a three-game series against the Brewers, McCutchen went 7 for 12 (.583) with three home runs and 16 total bases. He also drove in four runs. The honor is for the seven-day period ending Sunday. He went 15 for 29 (.517) with three home runs in the week prior.
