The Braves are exercising some restraint to go along with their encouragement when it comes to the progress catcher Brian McCann is making from his oblique injury. He spent the weekend series in New York doing some light hitting, throwing and catching bullpens. But he won't know for sure how his oblique will hold up until he increases the intensity. McCann will give it a bigger test in Florida where the Braves are headed to play the Marlins for three games starting Monday. He plans to take batting practice on the field there, but he said throwing with more intensity will be his biggest test.
