It didn’t take the Mavericks long to settle on a replacement for the departed Dominique Jones, who was waived Saturday. They intend to sign Chris Wright, a 6-1 point guard who has played this season for the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League. Wright will have to pass a physical on Monday and could join the team in Milwaukee. Wright, a Georgetown product, was in New Orleans’ camp before this season, but was waived three days before the season opener. In 38 games with Iowa, he has averaged 15.5 points and 7 assists. He made the D-League All-Star Game.
