Backup guard Roddy Beaubois could be done for the season after suffering a broken bone in his hand during the first half against the Thunder. The fourth-year player suffered a broken second metacarpal on his left hand. “I don’t know what to say,” coach Rick Carlisle said. “I feel very bad for him. He had been putting the work in and obviously was playing well and this was a game where we needed him. He’s had some bad luck with injuries. “I just hope he can get back, but I don’t know if he’s going to be able to this year or not.” With Beaubois set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, it could be that he’s played his final minute as a Maverick. It appears very unlikely he would return this season, which will put the Mavericks in a bind at guard. The injury couldn’t have come at a worse time. Beaubois was coming off his best game of the season, scoring 18 points against Cleveland on Friday.
