Matthew Stafford's elbow issue didn't stop him from producing an impressive showing during Saturday's practice.

The Los Angeles Rams signal-caller played down the injury in his right elbow as "soreness" and called it "irritating." He also stressed confidence in the team's approach to getting him ready for Week 1.

"We got a great plan. I'm feeling stronger every time I come out here and throw," Stafford said, according to ESPN's Sarah Barshop. "I don't know if you guys were watching. It felt like I could make any throw I wanted to today. And just trying to be smart when I get those opportunities to make sure I can come out here, cut it loose (and) turn it loose like I did today."

The veteran didn't throw at OTAs after receiving an anti-inflammatory injection in his right elbow earlier this offseason.
