Although there were points in Matthew Stafford’s career with the Lions when he didn’t have a lot of offensive help, he did get to play with some talented pass-catchers. Calvin Johnson was obviously the best player Stafford ever threw a pass to, but Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones and Golden Tate were all talented wideouts, too.
Stafford’s supporting cast certainly won’t drop off with the Rams, joining a team that features Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Van Jefferson and Tyler Higbee. Barring a huge offseason splash or an injury to Kupp or Woods, those two receivers figure to be Stafford’s top targets.
And from what Stafford has seen of their abilities, he’s excited to have them in his receiving corps.
