Left-hander Matt Harrison, on line to start the March 31 opener at Houston, was so efficient during five scoreless innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Surprise, Ariz. that he went to throw more in the bullpen after being removed. Harrison needed only 57 pitches to make it through five innings. He threw about another 20 pitches in the bullpen. This was Harrison’s first outing against a major-league team since March 2. He was scratched form a start after experiencing inflammation in the second toe of the right foot and came back on Wednesday in a minor-league game.
