Mark Teixeira returned to the New York Yankees' lineup Monday night after missing three games over the weekend with soreness and inflammation in his left wrist. Teixeira will bat cleanup and play first base in the opener of a three-game series between the Yankees and Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field. Manager Joe Girardi, who was expected to delay announcing his lineup until after Teixeira took batting practice, inserted Teixeira into the batting order after speaking to his first baseman in the clubhouse before the team went out for its pregame stretch.
