Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says the Mavs almost acquired two big players at the trade deadline.

The Mavs traded for Willie Cauley-Stein earlier in the season after losing Dwight Powell to a season-ending Achilles injury. It looks like Cuban and the Mavs were this close to getting two more impact players next to stars Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis:

“We tried. We came really, really close on a couple deals,” Cuban told The Dallas Morning News. “Two really big pieces. They were both three-team deals, and in one case was a trade-and-extend and we couldn’t get the player to agree on terms. "
