Former Flower Mound Marcus star Marcus Smart and Plano Prestonwood standout Julius Randle are both projected first round picks in the June's 2014 NBA Draft in one mock draft. In a report from ESPN Insider's Jeff Goodman, Randle is the frontrunner as a No. 4 overall pick for the Sacramento Kings, while Smart, amid recent controversy, is down to No. 14 with Memphis. Goodman cited Smart's Texas Tech incident and also a lack of improvement in his perimeter shooting as reasons for the lower draft stock. Randle, if selected by Sacramento, could be paired with another former Kentucky star, DeMarcus Cousins, who was part of the UK team that reached the Elite Eight in 2010. Both players are 19 years old and were among the Dallas area's best when they were in high school.
