When the Swedish men's Olympic hockey team learned just days before the Olympics that it would be without the services of former NHL MVP Henrik Sedin, it was a tremendously damaging blow to the team's gold medal chances. However, Sedin's rib injury left a void at the center position on the Swedes' roster, which they have announced that they will fill Marcus Johansson. Johansson, 23, is a play-making center who also plays for the NHL's Washington Capitals. He has seven goals, 29 assists and a -11 rating in 58 games this season with the Capitals, who have been his NHL team since he came to the North America in 2010-11.
