The L.A. Clippers’ losing skid has now hit nine games following their loss to the New York Knicks on Monday night. And according to the New York Times’ Marc Stein, the seat of championship-winning Clippers coach Doc Rivers is inevitably set to get warmer as a result. Stein isn’t the only one who thinks Rivers is very much on the hot seat. The Ringer’s Bill Simmons also believes the Clippers are closing in on a situation where either Rivers gets fired or DeAndre Jordan gets traded. While Rivers is one of a select group of active championship-winning coaches in the league as Stein points out, his job security has to be under some scrutiny given the team’s horrendous start.
