Los Angeles Lakers big man Marc Gasol could already see an end to his brief stint with the Purple and Gold in the near future. Speculations have been going around that the Spaniard is emerging as a buyout candidate for the team, given that they’ve already landed the services of Andre Drummond for the remainder of the season.

Via Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report:

“As much as Marc Gasol’s subpar contributions helped lead Los Angeles to pursue Drummond, Gasol remains under contract. There remains some speculation from rival executives that he could now come to a buyout agreement with the Lakers.”

Initially projected to be a valuable contributor for the Lakers, Gasol was previously inked to a two-year, $5 million deal prior to the 2020-21 season.
