Manchester United's hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League seem to be diminishing game by game as David Moyes' side continue to struggle for form. A major flaw in Manchester United's team this season has been their inability to control games in the middle of the park. The Red Devils have relied on Michael Carrick over the last couple of years but even he is struggling to replicate the high level of performances he had put in on a regular basis under Sir Alex Ferguson. Moyes' other central midfield options include Tom Cleverley, who has been extremely ineffective so far this season, Darren Fletcher and Marouane Fellaini. Fellaini, who moved to Old Trafford for £27.5million, has been out of action since the beginning of December due to a wrist injury. The Belgium international has been largely ineffective during the first couple of months at Manchester United - but he has only played 11 games for the Premier League champions. Many have already written Fellaini off - but he does have all the qualities that Manchester United have been missing in recent weeks.
Manchester United need Fellaini to come back firing
