Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will continue his pursuit of Aaron Wan-Bissaka despite Manchester United having a £40million bid rejected by Crystal Palace.

Solskjaer has already earmarked the England Under-21 defender as his right-back for next season and will not be put off by Palace holding out for a fee in excess of £60m.

United have a number of other options - in particular Thomas Meunier of Paris Saint-Germain - but Solskjaer has his heart set on signing Wan-Bissaka and is determined to get his man.

He believes the 21-year-old's value will only go up over the course of the next year and fears that United could make the same mistake as they did with Harry Maguire whose price has now rocketed to over £90m at Leicester.
