Rafa Benitez wants Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko if he loses his fight to hang on to Edinson Cavani. Paris Saint-Germain are leading Chelsea and Real Madrid in the race to land Uruguay international Cavani, who has a £53million release clause in his Napoli contract. Benitez, the Italians' new coach after leaving Chelsea, is making contingency plans should the 26-year-old go and will test the deposed Premier League champions' resolve over Dzeko. City have already sold two front-line strikers this year in Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez, and new boss Manuel Pellegrini is prepared to give Dzeko a fresh start after often being confined to substitute duty by predecessor Roberto Mancini.
