Manchester United are “very close” to meet Fiorentina’s transfer valuation for forward Federico Chiesa.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the Serie A star throughout the coronavirus lockdown period.
He has been at Fiorentina for four seasons, scoring 29 goals in nearly 140 appearances by the age of 22.
And Italian outlet Quotidiano say that United have “gained the pole position” in the race to sign Chiesa.
This has been done by becoming the only club to talk about |only and exclusively money up front”.
United face strong competition for the youngster’s signature, though, as they were in a four-club racealongside Chelsea for the Fiorentina star.
