Manchester United are weighing up a €100million (£88m) move for Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann next summer after Jose Mourinho requested a deal be completed. Jose Mourinho prioritised a move for the France international at the end of last season and he was expected to sign during the transfer window. However, Atletico received a worldwide transfer ban, which prevents the club from registering new players until January 2018, and that prompted Griezmann to stay with the La Liga giants. But Mourinho isn’t giving up his pursuit and will return for his signature at the end of the season. United will have to fork out £88m to meet Griezmann’s release clause but Atletico could be willing to do business at the end of the season.
