The Old Trafford side are considering a big money move for the midfield ace after 24-year-old Muller put-pen-to-paper on a a new five-year contract with the German champs. United are willing to pay £23m for Schweinsteiger and could be tempted to leave after Muller was told he's integral to Pep Guardiola's plans. Louis Van Gaal is known to rate the 29-year-old highly, while United have reportedly been keeping tabs on him since last summer. United are looking to completely revamp their starting 11, with several fringe players including Nani and Anderson linked with moves abroad. Recent reports in Germany have claimed United have already made contact with Bayern over securing the midfield ace's signature.
