Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has addressed Manchester United’s January transfer plans – insisting the summer remains his priority.
The United manager has been holding monthly meetings with his heads of recruitment in a bid to finalise his wanted list for the turn of the year.
He has been promised the funds to sign any targets that become available in the mid-season window – but the majority of his business is expected to be conducted at the end of the campaign.
Midfield and attack are the areas Solskjaer is desperate to improve, with a move for Juventus’ Emre Can being considered, while he has tasked scouts to watch strikers such as Everton's Richarlison, Red Bull Salzburg's Erling Braut Haaland and Lyon's Moussa Dembele.
A fresh move for veteran Juve forward Mario Mandzukic has not been ruled out after a deal collapsed last summer.
But Solskjaer insists his focus is also on clearing his injury list, which includes Paul Pogba, who will not be back in action until December following a problem with his ankle and foot.
