Manchester United and Jose Mourinho have made no significant progress in talks over a new contract, sources have told ESPN FC. Mourinho signed a three-year deal when he took over at Old Trafford which could keep him at the club until 2019. Preliminary discussions over an extension took place in September but sources have told ESPN FC that they have not advanced any further. It comes amid speculation Paris Saint-Germain are interested in hiring the Portuguese coach, either at the end of the season or the following summer, to replace Unai Emery, who is under pressure to win the Champions League. Sources insist the French club have not made an approach. However, the 54-year-old has already changed his stance on how long he expects to stay at United.
