Tell me if you’ve heard this one before: Bayern Munich makes a lowball bid for a player. His club says “never!” and negotiations break down. That’s the latest news from Manchester. The player in question is, of course, Leroy Sané, and the club is Manchester City.

In a new “exclusive,” The Telegraph reports that Bayern has thus far refused to raise its offer of €40 million for the 24-year-old winger, whose contract expires after the 2020/21 season. The Telegraph writes,

But negotiations over a fee for Sane have hit an impasse, with Bayern so far proving reluctant to offer more than €40 million (£36m) for the 24 year-old, who is out of contract next summer.
