The Champions League winners have now cemented Aguero at the top of their summer shopping list. Real boss Carlo Ancelotti was planning to lure Liverpool star Suarez to the Bernabeu, but has privately been forced to accept the Uruguayan won't leave Anfield. Instead, Real bosses are understood to be willing to sanction a mega-money move for Aguero and make him one of the highest paid stars at the club. The Argentine striker has been a sensation at City since becoming their record £36m signing in 2011. His goals have helped fire the big-spenders to two league titles in the last three seasons as well as a League Cup triumph. Aguero suffered an injury-plagued season at the Etihad but still finished the campaign with 28 goals from 34 games. Boss Manuel Pellegrini will be determined to keep Aguero at the Etihad as he plots a genuine assault on Champions League success next season. He will be dreading a bid from Real, with sources close to Aguero suggesting the hit man is open to a move to the La Liga giants.
