The Orlando Magic plan to take a measured approach with regard to Glen Davis' rehabilitation from a broken left foot reports Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel: "The Magic tell me they will be 'overly cautious' with Davis which likely means he will join the [2013/14] season in progress." The Magic's training camp opens on October 1st at Amway Center. After an eight-game preseason campaign the regular season begins on October 29th with a visit to the Indiana Pacers. Davis 27 was Orlando's second-leading scorer and rebounder when he broke his left foot in a collision with New York Knicks swingman Iman Shumpert less than five minutes into Orlando's 113-97 loss to New York on January 30th. Schmitz's story focuses on the battle between Davis and Tobias Harris whom the Magic acquired after Davis' season-ending injury for Orlando's starting power forward job.
