Texas coach Mack Brown went on The Dan Patrick Show Friday and laid a few rumors to rest in a rather candid interview. The embattled coach addressed the rumor that the Longhorns offered Manziel a scholarship with designs to change the Heisman-winning quarterback into a safety. “We never offered Johnny and we sure didn’t offer him as a safety” Brown said. “That’s been blown out of proportion.” When asked by Patrick if he was the Texas athletic director would he be searching for a new head coach Brown answered briskly. “No I don’t do hypotheticals I’m in the now” Brown said. “I need to continue to win I don’t worry about those things.”
