Former Texas head coach Mack Brown told Burns & Gambo on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station that he would be open to talking to Arizona State Vice President of University Athletics Ray Anderson about the open head coaching job if he were to call. “Only if they would call me,” Brown said. “If Ray doesn’t find what he wants and he would like to talk I would love to talk to him about it.” Brown was the head coach of Texas from 1998-2013, winning a national championship in 2005 and two conference championships in 2005 and 2009. In his head coaching career at Appalachian State, Tulane, North Carolina and Texas, Brown had a record of 244-122.
