One day after parting ways with head coach Max Good, Loyola Marymount has already moved on. The Lions hired Mike Dunlap as their next head coach. "I love the challenge of coming to LMU, and love the fact I am going back home," Dunlap said in a statement. "I am really comfortable with the Southern California and Northern California student-athlete that is going to end up at LMU, and I think this is a great fit." Dunlap, a graduate of Loyola Marymount, was the head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats during the 2012-13 season. He also spent time as an assistant with the Denver Nuggets in the NBA, and Arizona, Oregon, and St. John's at the college level.
