LSU was thoroughly handled in its season-opening loss to Mississippi State on Saturday.

The sixth-ranked, defending national champion Tigers had no answer for Mike Leach's "Air Raid" attack in the 44-34 defeat. Bulldogs quarterback K.J. Costello completed 36 of 60 passes for 623 yards and five touchdowns, and three Mississippi State players had more than 100 receiving yards.

Of course, the loss of 14 players from LSU's 2019 team to the NFL Draft, Biletnikoff winner Ja'Marr Chase's decision to opt out and Derek Stingley Jr.'s illness certainly didn't help the Tigers' chances.

None of that seemed to matter to Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, however. Instead, the Republican (who's up for reelection in 2023) attempted to take a cheap shot at Democratic Gov.
