Trevor Bauer has the dubious distinction of being the pitcher to lose the Cleveland Indians’ winning streak. What’s even wilder is that this was actually the second 22-game winning streak that ended on Bauer’s watch. True story. Bauer pitched at UCLA prior to being drafted No. 3 overall by the Diamondbacks in 2011. In 2010, the Bruins opened their baseball season with 22 straight wins. Bauer was on the hill and took the loss when the Bruins’ streak ended after an 8-4 loss to Stanford that season. He had that fact in mind after taking the L following the Indians’ 4-3 loss to the Royals on Friday night.
