Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball struggled from the field once again on Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics, commenting on his performance after the game. “It’s in my head, to be honest. I know I can shoot the ball,” he told reporters. Ball’s rather unorthodox jumpshot has been the fuel for much speculation and ridicule for how he will adapt to the professional game, but his struggles go deeper than that: He is shooting just 34.4 percent from inside the paint, the worst mark in the NBA. Things haven’t gotten much better when he steps outside the land of the giants, hitting just 25 percent of his shots outside of the painted area.
