Glen Johnson reveals that he will return to first-team training at Liverpool on Tuesday. The 28-year-old has been out-of-action with an ankle injury since hobbling off in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United in September. Johnson was initially expected to miss up to 10 weeks however the England international has made a quicker recovery than initially expected. Earlier this week former Liverpool defender Rob Jones backed Martin Kelly to make a successful return to the first-team fold following his recovery from an interior cruciate ligament injury which the right-back suffered in September 2012.
