Liverpool are monitoring 18-year-old Ghanaian Daniel Amartey. The Ghana U20 international plays for Djurgardens in Sweden and is equally adept in midfield or defence. After being spotted by the Swedish club at just 16, Djugardens signed Amartey when he turned 18. The prodigious talent has played 28 times already this season, 22 times in the Allsvenskan (Sweden's domestic league). He has also been watched closely by German sides Schalke and Kaiserslautern. Earlier this month a video of the youngster gained some traction after his storming 70-yard run from the back resulted in his side winning a match-winning penalty against IFK. Having cut the ball out at the back, Amartey launches an attack and sprints at full tilt for the penalty area. He receives the ball again just outside the box, where he is felled.
