Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Roma midfielder Mohamed Salah, according to reports in Italy. Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the 24-year-old’s agent is in England and has already reached an agreement with Liverpool and it’s now up to Roma whether to sell The report also claims that Salah has told friends that he has the chance to return to the Premier League. Liverpool’s main issue is now to settle on a transfer fee with Roma. The Serie A club are demanding €35 million (£30.4m) but are open to selling the winger as his contract expires in 2019 and a renewal this summer would prove costly.
