Liverpool have placed a bid of £9.75million for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Emre Can, triggering the release cause in his contract. The Reds are now free to open talks with the Germany Under-21 international, who is highly rated by Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers. Emre Can joined Bayer Leverkusen from Bayern Munich last summer, and as part of the sale, the German champions have a recall option on the 20-year-old.
