Liverpool are hopeful of closing a loan deal for Valencia left-back Aly Cissokho. The Anfield club would pay an initial loan fee of around £850,000 with an agreement to pay a further £3.5million to buy the player outright next summer. The 25-year-old France international joined Valencia from Lyon for £7m but the Spanish side are cutting costs after missing out on the Champions League. His arrival could prompt the sale of Jose Enrique. Sunderland have also made an enquiry for Cissokho but are resigned to the player choosing Liverpool. Meanwhile, Lazio have shown interest in Liverpool striker Fabio Borini and FC Groningen are signing Reds reserve forward Krisztian Adorjan on loan.
