Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are ready to break the bank to bring in Roberto Soldado from Valencia. Reports in the press suggest that both clubs are prepared to trigger the Spaniard’s release clause of €30m which would enable them to commence negotiations with the La Liga club for his services. Spurs are in desperate need of a new striker to bolster their attack force and also convince star player Gareth Bale of the club’s ambitions to prolong his stay at North London. Manager Andre Villas-Boas has been following a number of high profile names, including David Villa, Christian Benteke and Leandro Damiao, apart from Soldado.
