Jason Jones is coming home. Jones, a free-agent defensive lineman who went to Southfield-Lathrup for high school and Eastern Michigan for college, agreed to terms on a contract with the Lions during his free-agent visit today, his agent Mike McCartney tweeted. Jones, who lives locally in the off-season, had three sacks in a backup role last year with the Seattle Seahawks and began his NFL career in Tennessee under Lions coach Jim Schwartz. He can play both defensive end and defensive tackle, but could be in line for a starting role with Cliff Avril likely to sign elsewhere in free agency. He has 18 1/2 career sacks in five seasons.
