There were positives and negatives on the injury front for the Lions as they returned to practice Wednesday. On the plus side, cornerback Bill Bentley, out since Week 8 with a knee injury, was back and working in individual drills. Defensive end Ziggy Ansah (ankle), who was limited last week, was also working. Tight end Brandon Pettigrew, with his left knee wrapped, was also working. He appeared to wrench the knee on the first play Sunday, but was able to finish the game. Receiver Nate Burleson, who has practiced the last two weeks, ran with the first-team offense during the pre-practice skeleton drills. That's an indication that he will be part of the game plan on Sunday. On the negative side, safety Glover Quin was out and had a walking boot on his injured left ankle. Running back Joique Bell (foot) was on the field without a helmet. He went through warm-ups but sat out individual drills. He appeared to be moving around much more comfortably than he was Sunday.
