The Detroit Lions have signed cornerback Desmond Trufant to a two-year, $21 million deal, according to Jordan Schultz of ESPN. The contract contains $14 million in guaranteed money.
Trufant spent the first seven years of his NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons and is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he was limited to nine games due to a couple of different injuries, including a broken arm that ended his season in Week 14.
During the time Trufant was on the field this past year, he logged 18 tackles, four interceptions and seven passes defended.
He was released by the Falcons earlier this week.
