The Bruins made official the designation of rookie forward Matthew Lindblad back to the Providence Bruins prior to leaving for Buffalo on Tuesday afternoon. Lindblad had practiced several days with Boston while forwards Patrice Bergeron and Loui Eriksson were in Russia participating in the Olympics, and spent his final day with the B’s on Tuesday as the two forwards rested before getting on the team flight. Lindblad has skated in 35 games this season for the Providence Bruins with seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points, but has yet to make his NHL debut after being one of the final cuts from NHL training camp. The forward has appeared in 39 total games for the P-Bruins from 2012-13. Lindblad has netted eight goals and 14 assists thus far for 22 points.
