Tim Lincecum was more than 30 pitches deep into the first inning, Shane Loux began marking up a bullpen mound and Giants manager Bruce Bochy tried to fight back a very bad feeling. "We had to get somebody up," Bochy said. "It was hot out there. It was getting to a point where we'd have to go get him. We had to take care of him." The last time Lincecum pitched here at Coors Field, he lasted just 2 1/3 innings – the shortest start of his career. This one was threatening to be even shorter.
