The Baylor Bears are among the longest teams in college basketball every season. Transfer Leonard Allen was supposed to factor into that equation in 2017-18, but head coach Scott Drew will now be forced to find another solution. The program formally announced on Friday that Allen is taking a leave of absence due to “personal medical challenges.” “We will continue to support Leonard in every way possible,” Drew said in a statement. “He’s been a great representative of our program and an excellent teammate since joining our team, and all of us are praying for him and looking forward to his return.” The seven-foot Allen graduated from Round Rock High School in 2013, but last played organized basketball for San Diego City College two years ago.
