Exclusive: Leeds, Newcastle, West Ham and Aston Villa are interested in a summer move for Crystal Palace's James McCarthy.

The midfielder joined Palace from Everton is the summer of 2019 following an injury ravaged couple of seasons at Goodison, and instantly found his feet in the top flight once more.

McCarthy featured 33 times in the Premier League for Palace during the 2019/20 season, and with his form and fitness fully recaptured, he has caught the attention of a selection of top flight sides.

90min understands that Leeds, Newcastle, West Ham and Aston Villa have all spoken to Palace about McCarthy with a view to making a move for him. Palace paid £8m to bring the 29-year-old to Selhurst Park, and the Eagles would want the vast amount of this reimbursed if they are to consider parting ways.

Such a fee would be no issue for those interested - who believe the Irish international still has a lot to offer as a Premier League player.
