Bill Miller's first assailant was easy to spot. A lineup was not needed. He was dressed in white pants and top, with a No. 13 on his back, wearing a blue helmet and the veins in his neck were bulging. Brett Lawrie began to make his way to first base after what he thought was ball four when plate ump Miller ruled Fernando Rodney's pitch strike three for the second out of the ninth Tuesday night at the Rogers Centre. Lawrie returned to the plate area, put both hands to his head in disbelief and fired the helmet into the ground.
