This one will sting for the Red Wings. Vinny Prospal scored with 24.7 seconds left in the game, giving the Blue Jackets a 3-2 victory. Damien Brunner's shot was blocked by Blue Jackets defenseman James Wisniewski (Canton) deep in the zone. Wisniewski started the Blue Jackets rush and made the key pass, finding Prospal in front. Prospal wrapped a backhander around Jimmy Howard for the winning goal. Damien Brunner and Valtteri Filppula scored for the Red Wings, who saw their losing streak reach five games (0-3-2). "We talked about we want to have a good start, and we do," Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg said. "Now, we just got to find a way to finish it off." R.J. Umberger (power play) and Derek Dorsett had the Blue Jackets goals. Dorsett tied the game 2-2 at 5:03 of the third period. Derick Brassard's backhander was stopped by Jimmy Howard but Dorsett quickly tapped in the rebound for his fourth goal. "When we got up 2-nothing, we fooled around a little bit," Detroit coach Mike Babcock said. The Red Wings had consecutive power plays — including a 10 second two-man advantage as the power plays intersected — midway in the third period but couldn't convert. The game was marred by a scary scene at 3:48 of the second period. Columbus forward Artem Anisimov was taken off the ice on a stretcher after a collision behind the Red Wings net. Anisimov was caught between Red Wings defensemen Kyle Quincey and Ian White. Anisimov lost his balance, then was driven to the ice by Quincey falling atop him. From The Detroit News:
