Lamarr “Fresh” Kimble is transferring from St. Joseph’s to Louisville in the wake of the coaching change on Hawk Hill.

As a graduate transfer, Kimble will be eligible to play next season. He becomes the third City 6 player in recent years to transfer to Louisville, following Damion Lee from Drexel and Tony Hicks from Penn.

Kimble put out this statement on social media: "I would like to thank Saint Joseph’s University for an amazing four years of my life. Coach Martelli, Coach Arnold, Coach Duda, Coach Bass, my teammates and the entire SJU community were tremendous in helping me develop into the man and player I am today. The times we shared were priceless and will forever be in my heart.

“Over the last the last few weeks I have sat down with my family and friends to discuss my future. After I entred the transfer portal, Coach Lange has been honest, trustworthy and understanding. I appreciate and respect his leadership and cultural values during this process. I have decided to take a graduate transfer year at the University of Louisville. Let’s Go Cardinals!!!”
