The Los Angeles Lakers will already be without superstar forward LeBron James for the remainder of the 2018-19 regular season, and now the lowly Western Conference franchise will head into Sunday’s matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans even more shorthanded than originally expected. According to Mike Trudell of, the Lakers will be without forward Kyle Kuzma on Sunday evening against the Pelicans as the up-and-comer continues to battle “left foot tendinitis.”

“It’s left foot tendinitis for Kyle Kuzma,” reports Trudell. “Luke Walton said Moe Wagner would start in his place. Meanwhile, Lance Stephenson will start for LeBron. LAL are arguably without their top 5 players (LeBron, Ingram, Kuzma, Ball and Hart).”

On the other end of the court, the Pelicans will be without a superstar of their own. The Pelicans have formally announced that New Orleans will be without superstar big man Anthony Davis on Sunday evening against the Lakers has he is still battling back spasms, which have notably cost Davis the last week.
