Unfortunately, Luke Walton’s squad was unable to come out on top with Curry kicking it into another gear scoring 13 of his 28 points in overtime. Although Brandon Ingram stayed hot in the final five minutes of the game with six of his career-high 32 points, it simply wasn’t enough for the Lakers to get the best of the visiting Warriors. Along with Ingram having the best scoring performance of his NBA career, Lonzo Ball also made an impact with a double-double. The rookie point guard dished out 10 assists to go along with his 15 points. Following the loss to the Warriors, Walton had high praise for his players battling against arguably the best team in the NBA and admitted he told Ball that the 20-year-old would eventually be among the league’s elite at his position.
