It’s become a common trend among world soccer for star players to make the move to the MLS when their career begins to wind down. Some of the best players across the globe have used the MLS as a sort of farewell tour, and it seems another top talent is set to join the ranks in the United States. The LA Galaxy are reportedly nearing a deal to bring a world-renowned Brazilian international to Hollywood. Per Fabrizio Romano, the Galaxy and former Bayern Munich and Juventus winger Douglas Costa are nearing an agreement that would see the Brazilian speedster make the move to the MLS.

Costa is currently playing in the Brazilian top flight for Gremio. In 2021-22, Costa has made 26 appearances for the club, scoring three goals and adding a pair of assists. Prior to returning to his home nation, Costa had spent the previous 12 seasons in Europe, and could now be set for a move to the MLS.
