The Boston Celtics were in the news heavily on Wednesday, as two huge stories broke regarding two players either leaving – or coming to – Boston to play for the C’s.

First off, the formerly devoted and presently disgruntled Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving opted out of his player option for the 2019-20 season, which made him an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Then, the Anthony Davis trade talks heated up to a near boiling point with both the Celtics and their despised cross-country rival the Los Angeles Lakers heavily featured.

Despite those differing storylines, both seem to be viewed in a negative light by most of the populace, as Irving is expected to sign elsewhere and Davis is not expected to stay beyond the 2019-20 season – even if Boston breaks the bank in order to acquire him via trade.
